We had the pleasure of fitting two models for Fort Hays State University’s Spring Fling Fashion Show on Thursday, Apr. 22.  Not only did I get to work with two great models who work at the U., I also got to eat lunch next to the University Prez Ed Hammond.  Not sure how I wrangled that seat, but I do know his mother-in-law. 

President Hammond and I enjoyed spirited conversation ranging from healthcare reform to virtual summer classes.  Mostly we enjoyed the great show put on by the volunteer models, emceed by Brenda Meder from the Hays Arts Council. 

Great job putting on this annual event to honor FHSU administrative staff.  Lisa Karlin and RoJene Broeckelman work hard to make it a fun event.

Administrative Professionals Day – April 21 (we used to call it Secretary’s Day)

Conveniently placed in the middle of the week, Wednesday, Apr. 21 is Administrative Professionals Day.  What have you done for your Administrative Professional lately?  If you’re lucky enough to have one you need to take good care of them.

Our suggestions for gift giving on this day are first to show appreciation with a sincere Thank You (hand-written cards are good).  We also think that our Archipelago Candle and Diffusers are great gifts.  The scents appeal to lots of our customers.  Women also love our handbag hooks in a variety of styles to keep their handbags off the floor when in a restaurant.  If you just don’t know what to get, we sell gift certificates in any dollar increment and the size is always right.
